Verifying the operation of dc-dc buck converter for continuous mode or discontinuous mode

Assuming D1 is time interval when inductor current falls

D1<1 ...(for continuous mode)

D1=D+D2+8LRT2

=12(0.4+0.16+8(2000)(10000)×10620)=0.2890.29

As 0.29 < 1-0.4 [D1<1D]
0.29 < 0.6

Buck converter operates in discontinuous mode

(VsV0)DTs+(V0)D1Ts=0

V0Vs=DD+D1=0.40.4+0.29=0.579

V0=0.579×24=13.913V.
