The correct option is A

Applying conservation of momentum on bullet-gun system, we have,

$m_{g} v_{g} + m_{b} v_{b} = 0$

$m_{g} v_{g} = - m_{b} v_{b} o r v_{g} = \frac{- m_{b} v_{b}}{m_{g}}$

$v_{g} = (- \frac{100 \times 100}{20000}) m / s = - 0.5 m / s, i . e . 0.5 m / s in the direction opposite to bullet.$
