Let, the distance between Delhi & Ambala is x km,

Now, Ist case:

The bus goes at speed 50 km / hour,

$\because$ 50 km goes in 1 hour.

$\therefore$ x km goes in $\frac{x}{50}$ hr .

Similarly when returns it takes $\frac{x}{40}$ hr .

According to the problem,

$\frac{x}{40}-\frac{x}{50}=1\Rightarrow 50x-40x=2000\Rightarrow x=200km.$

$\therefore$ Thedistance between Delhi & Ambala is 200 km.

$\therefore$ option A is correct.
