Question

A bus starts from test and attains 40 km h1 velocity after 10 sec calculate the acceleration of the bus in km h2 and in m s2

Open in App
Solution

Acceleration = change in velocity / time
Change in velocity = 40 -0 = 40 km/hr
time =10 s = 10/3600 hrs = 1/360 hrs
Acceleration = 40 / (1/360) = 40 x 360 = 14400 km/hr^2

Change in velocity in m/s = 40 x 5/18 = 100/9 m/s
time =10s
Acceleration = (100/9)/10 = 10/9 m/s^2
