A bus stop is barricaded from the remaining part of the road, by using 50 hollow cones made of recycled cardboard. Each cone has a base diameter of 40cm and height 1m. If the outer side of each of the cones is to be painted and the cost of painting is Rs 12 per m2, what will be the cost of the painting all these cones? (Useπ=3.14andtake1.04=1.02)

Given total no. of cones =50.

Dimension of 1 cone i.e. radius =20cm
height =1m
now CSA of 1 cone =πrl=πrh2+r2

=π×2010000+400=20π×102

CSA of cone =0.6405m2

Total area =50×0.64=32m2

Cost of painting =Rs.12/m2

Total cost =12×32

Total cost =384RS.]
