Open in App
Solution

Given : Original Speed =42 km/h, and Original time, t =5 hours

Distance = speed × Time =42×5=210 km

If the speed is increased by 8 km/h then, the new time will be

Time =DistanceSpeed

=DistanceOriginalspeed+8 [Distance is same]

=210(8+42)

=21050

=4.2 hours

He would save time =54.2=0.8 hours .
