Solution

Given:

A bus travels 126km in 3hours

A train travels 315km in 5hours

The distances covered by the bus in one hour =1263

=42km

The distances covered by the train in one hour =3155

=63km

The ratio of distances covered by them in one hour=4263 [Note: HCF(42,63)=21]

=23=2˸3

Hence, the ratio of distances covered by them in one hour is 2˸3.
