The correct option is C 40 km
Speed of bus = 30 km per hour
Speed of car = 40 km per hour

Total distance covered by car in 1 hour
= 40 km

Total distance covered by car in 4 hour
= 40 × 4
= 160 km

Total distance covered by bus in 1 hour
= 30 km

Total distance covered by bus in 4 hour
= 30 × 4
= 120 km




Since Car move ahead of bus after 4 hours therefore,


Total distance covered by car in 4 hours
= Total distance covered by bus in 4 hours + Distance between car and bus at start.


Distance between car and bus at start
= 160 km - 120 km
= 40 km
