A camera makes use of a converging lens to produce an image. If the camera captures a distant object, then which will be the characteristics of the image?

In this case, a sharp image is formed.
Also , a camera uses the fact that the image of a distant object produced by a converging lens is real, smaller than the object and closer to the lens than the object.
For a distant object, the rays from a point image enter the camera lens travelling virtually parallel to each other i.e. the distance between the lens and the film is equal to focal length of the lens.
