Step:1 :Let the Can contain 7x and 5x liters of mixture A and B respectively .Quantity of mixture drawn of = 9 liter
quantityofAinmixtureleft=(7x712×9)=(7x214)liter
quantityofBinmixtureleft=(5x512×9)=(5x154)liter
Step ii : Since the mixture is in the ratio 7:9
(7x214)(5x154)+9=79
28x2120x+21=79
252x189=140x+147
112x=336
x=3
QuantityofliquidA,containedinthecaninitially=7×3=21liter
