$m_{1} v = m_{2} v_{2} + m_{1} v_{1}$

$1000 \times 0 = 200 \times 300 + 1000 \times v_{1}$

$1000 v_{1} = - 6000$

$v_{1} = - 6 m / s$

negative sign indicates opposite dire
