Given:
Mass of the body, m=50 kg
Car starts from rest. So, initial velocity, u=0 ms1
Final velocity, v=100 ms1
Time, t=10 s

The energy provided by the engine is converted to kinetic energy of the car. So, the energy provided by the engine is:
E=12m(v2u2)
E=12×50×(100202)
E=250000=250 kJ

From definition of power,
P=Et
P=250 kJ10 s=25 kW
