Let the initial maximum speed of the car be u.
Using v=uat
where a is the deceleration of car.
0=ua(20)
u=20a ....(1)
Using v2u2=2(a)S
0(20a)2=2(a)(100)
a=0.5
From (1), we get u=20×0.5=10 m/s
