A car covers a certain distance in $4$ hours if it is travelling at a speed of $60km/hr$. How much time would it have taken if it were travelling $20km/hr$ faster ?

Let the car travelled $xkm$ in $4$ hours travelling with the spped of $60km/hr$.

As we know that,

$\text{speed}=\frac{\text{distance}}{\text{time}}$

$\Rightarrow$ Distance travelled by the car $=60\times 4=240km$

Now the time taken by the car to cover the same distance when travelling $20km/hr$- faster

Time taken $=\frac{\text{distance travelled}}{\text{speed of car}}=\frac{240}{80}=3\text{hours}$
