A car has a tyre of diameter 28 cm. How much distance (in m) is covered by the car if the tyre rotates 150 times. (Use π = 22/7)

Open in App
Solution

Circumference of tyre = 2 π r= Distance covered in one rotation

Distance covered in 1 rotation = 2 x 227 x 14 = 88 cm

Distance covered in 150 rotation = 88 × 150 = 13200 cm = 132 m
