Supposing the cars start moving and its horn sounds at time to.
The time in which the sound reaches the observer=1 second
t1=(to+1) sec
Displacement of car in 20 seconds=12×1.1×202=220m
t2=(to+20) sec
t3=t2+13 sec
Thus, the observer hears the sound for a duration of t=(t3t1)=[t2+13t1]=[to+20+13(to+1)]=1913s
