From the figure we can clearly see that;
PL=LQ=s; when PQ=2s;

Apply v2u2=2as formula where v=40km/hr and u=30km/hr;

1600900=4as
a=175s......Eq:01

Again apply formula where v=? and u=initialvelocity=30km/hr;

v2(30)2=2as;
