Given velocity of sound v=340 m/s
Velocity of listner vL=17 m/s
Velocity of source =vS
Frequency of horn emitted
ν=640 Hz
The apparent frequency
ν=ν(v+vL)vvS
680=640(340+17340vS)
On solving we get vS=4 m/s
