Question
A car is moving at an average speed of
60
2/5 km /hr. How much distance will it cover in
6
1/4 hours ?
Open in App
Solution
Avg. Speed of car = 60(2/5)=((60*5)+2)/5
=(300+2)/5=302/5
time =6(1/4)=((6*4)+1)/4=(24+1)/4=25/4
now
distance=speed*time
=(302/5)*(25/4)
=(151*5)/2=755/2=(754+1)/2
=377(1/2) km
so car covers a distance of 377(1/2) km
