The correct option is C $10 m s^{- 1}$
Retardation $= 2 m s^{- 2}$
Time $= 5 s$
So, decrease in velocity = retardation $\times$ time $= (2 \times 5) m s^{- 1} = 10 m s^{- 1}$
Initial velocity $= 20 m s^{- 1}$
So, final velocity = (initial velocity) $-$ (decrease in velocity) $= (20 - 10) m s^{- 1} = 10 m s^{- 1}$
