Open in App
Solution

Step 1:

Given that

Time to travel first 30 km is t1 = 0.5 h.

Time to travel next 30 km is t2=23h.

Step 2:

Total time ,t=t1+t2.

Average speed =Totaldistancetotaltime.

Step 3:

Total time ,t=t1+t2.

Total time = 0.5h+23h=3.53h=1.167h.

Total distance =d=30 km +30 km = 60 km.

Average speed =Totaldistancetotaltime.

V= 601.167= 51.42kmh

Speed in ms = V×5m18s

V =51.42×5m18s.

V = 14.29ms.

Step 4:

Hence, The average speed for the entire trip will be 14.29ms.
