Solution

Step-1: Solve for the speed of car:

Given that car moving at a constant speed travels 88 feet in 2seconds

We know that speed s=dt, where d is the distance travelled in time t

Here d=88ft. and t=2sec.

s=88ft2s=44ft./sec

Step-2: Solve for the distance travelled by car in one minute:

s=44ft/sec the car travels 44ft in 1second

1minute=60seconds

Distance travelled by car in 1minute=Distance travelled by car in 60seconds

=44×60=2640ft.

Hence, the distance travel by the car in one minute is 2640ft.
