Initial velocity of the car u=108 km/h
=108×100060×60

=108×518
=30 m/s
Final velocity v=0
Mass m=1000 kg
Time t=4s

According to newton's second law
F=ma
F=m(vu)t
=1000(030)4
=7500 N
The negative sign indicates that the applied force is opposite to the direction of motion.
