Question

A car moving with speed $$30$$ m/s on a circular path of radius $$500$$m. Its speed is increasing at the rate of $$2m/s^2$$. The acceleration of the car is?

A
9.8m/s2
loader
B
1.8m/s2
loader
C
2m/s2
loader
D
2.7m/s2
loader

Solution

The correct option is D $$2.7 m/s^2$$
$$V=30m/s$$
$$r=500m$$
$${ a }_{ c }=\frac { { v }_{ 2 } }{ r } $$
$$\frac { 30\times 30 }{ 500 } $$
$$\frac { 900 }{ 500 } $$
increasing the rate
$$a=\sqrt { { a }_{ t }+{ a }_{ c } } =\sqrt { \left( { 2 }^{ 2 } \right) +\left( { 1.8 }^{ 2 } \right)  } \sqrt { 4+3.24 } =\sqrt { 7.24 } =a=2.7$$
