A car of 50 kg attains the speed of 10 ms−1in 5 seconds from rest. Calculate the force applied by the engine of the car? (in N)
100 N
Initial velocity u = 0, final velocity v = 10ms−1, time t = 5 second, Mass m = 50 kg.
We know that acceleration a=v−ut
So, a=10−05=2 ms−2
We know that, Force (F) = m×a
Therefore, F = 50×2
On solving, F = 100 N
Thus required force = 100 N
