Let the force exerted by the wall on car be F
Using, impulse- momentum theorem:
Impulse=PfPi
+(F×t)=mvfmvi ...(i)
where, m is the mass of car, m=103 kg
Final velocity of car, vf=0
Initial velocity of car, vi=5 m/s
Time interval for action of impulsive force ,t=2 sec
From the Eq. (i):
F×2=103[0(5)]
F=52×103=2.5×103 N
