Given

Mass m1=1050 kg

Mass m2=6320 kg

Velocity v1=15ms-1

velocity v2=?

The vehicle come to rest finally, hence final velocity v=0

Concept of momentum

Since the final velocity is zero, the final momentum is zero.

-m1v1+m2v2=0m1v1=m2v2v2=m1m2v1=10506320×15v2=2.5ms-1

Therefore the vehicle comes to rest after the collision is 2.5ms-1

Hence option (b) is the right answer
