Open in App
Solution

Distance covered by car in 1 hour = 50 km
Distance covered by car in 2 hour = 50 + 50 = 100 km
Distance covered by car in 3 hour = 50 + 50 + 50 = 150 km.
So, the car will take 3 hours to cover distance of 150 km.
Distance covered by truck in 1 hour = 30 km
Distance covered by truck in 2 hour = 30 + 30 = 60 km
Distance covered by truck in 3 hour = 30 + 30 + 30 = 90 km. Distance covered by truck in 4 hour
= 30 + 30 + 30 + 30 = 120 km.
Distance covered by truck in 5 hour
= 30 + 30 + 30 + 30 + 30 = 150 km.
So, the truck will take 5 hours to cover distance of 150 km.
So, the truck will take 2 hours more than car to cover the distance of 150 km
