Net distance travellel along x-direction,
Sx=6cos45^i4cos45^i
=2×12=2 km

Net distance travelled along y - direction
Sy=6sin45^j+4sin45^j
=10×12=52 km
Net distance travelled from the starting point,
S=S2x+S2y=(2)2+(52)2
=2+25×2=52 km
Angle which the resultant makes with the east direction
