Mass of car m=500kg

Initial velocity of a caru=0

Final velocity of a car v=20ms-1

Step 2: Calculate the acceleration of the body,

From the kinematics equation,

v2=u2+2as202=0+2×a×100400=200×aa=2ms2

Step 3: Calculate the work done by the engine,

According to Newton's second law,

Fnet=m×aFnet=500×2Fnet=1000N

Force by engine,

F-500=1000F=1500N

Work done by the engine of car,

W=F×DW=1500×100W=150000W=1.5×105J
