A card is drawn at random from a pack of 52 cards. Find the probability that the card drawn is neither an ace nor a king.

Total number of all possible outcomes= 52
Let E be the event of getting either a king or an ace.
Then, ( not
E) is the event that the drawn card is neither a king nor an ace.
Number of kings = 4
Number of aces = 4
Favourable outcomes for event E = 4 + 4 = 8
Favourable outcomes for event (not E) = 52 8 = 44
∴ ​P(getting neither a king nor an ace ) = 4452 = 1113
