The sample space for the event is 52.
Let the event of getting a club be A and the event of getting a queen be B.
n(A) = 13, n(B) = 4 and n(AB) = 1
P(A) = 13/52 , P(B) = 4/52 and P(AB) = 1/52
Therefore, P(getting either A or B)
= P(AUB)
= P(A) + P(B) - P(AB)
= 13/52 + 4/52 - 1/52
= 4/13
