Total number of cards in a deck =52

Total number of queens in a deck =4

Total number of hearts in a pack =13

Number of cards that are either heart or queen =16

Number of cards hat are neither heart nor queen =52-16

=36

Probability of getting a queen is, P(Q)=452

Probability of getting a heart is, P(H)=1352

Probability of getting queen of heart, P(QH)=152

Step 2. The required probability of getting queen or a heart =PQH

P(QH)=452+1352-152 P(AB)=P(A)+P(B)-P(AB)
