Solution

Let A= getting a spade
B= getting an ace
AB= getting an ace of spade
AB= getting either a spade or an ace or both =?
P(A)=1352=14,P(B)=452=113
P(AB)=152

Using addition theorem,
P(AB)=P(A)+P(B)P(AB)
=14+113152=1652=413.
