  2. Buoyant force is responsible for the sinking or floating of objects in a fluid.
  3. Buoyant force is the upward force a fluid exerts on an object immersed in it.
  4. It is directly proportional to the density of the fluid.
  5. Since the density of river water is smaller than seawater so the same buoyant force requires larger water displace.
  6. So water level due to river water will be larger than seawater.
  7. So the loading capacity of a ship in the river is less than that of the sea.
