The correct option is C $4 x + 2 y$
Now as he works $^{'} 4^{'}$ hours in a day and $^{'} 4^{'}$ hours in night.
Therefore bricks laid by him during day $= 4 x$
& Bricks laid by him during night $= 4 (\frac{y}{2}) = 2 y$
Total number of bricks laid by carpenter during day and night $= 4 x + 2 y$ . Answer.
