Solution

The correct option is C Both normal and sickle shaped RBC
Sickle cell anaemia is caused by a mutation in the hemoglobin-Beta gene found on chromosome 11. It is an autosomal recessive disorder. A carrier of sickle cell anaemia will show both normal and sickle-shaped RBC because it has only one of the two faulty genes which cause the disease. This condition does not cause any disease in the carrier.
So, the correct answer is 'Both normal and sickle-shaped RBC'.
