Modulation index = $\frac{P e a k v a l u e o f m o d u l a t i n g s i g n a l}{P e a k v a l u e o f c a r r i e r s i g n a l}$

Hence ,

Peak value of modulating signal = ( Modulation index ) ( Peak value of carrier signal )

= $\frac{80}{100} \times 20$

$= 16 V$
