Calculate the number of fresh apples

40% of the apples are rotten i.e

$$\begin{gathered} \frac{40}{100}\times 150 \\ =60 \end{gathered}$$

60 apples are rotten in a carton having 150 apples

The apples that are fresh = 150-60

= 90

Hence, the number of fresh apples are 90
