A cell of e.m.f. 2V and negligible internal resistance is connected to resistors $R_{1}$ and $R_{2}$ as shown in the figure. The resistance of the voltmeter, $R_{1}$ and $R_{2}$ are 80 $Ω$ , 40 $Ω$ and 80 $Ω$ respectively. The reading of the voltmeter is:-

Voltmeter resistance $R_{v} = 80 Ω$
Reading of voltmeter $V = \frac{R_{v}}{R_{v} + R_{1} + R_{2}} E$
Or $V = \frac{80}{80 + 40 + 80} \times 2 = 0.8$ Volts
