A centimetre scale is used to measure Rahul's height as shown. If his father is 1.5 times taller than him, then calculate the father's height in metre.​

We know that eyes must be exactly perpendicular to the point where the measurement is to be taken.

Therefore, from the scale reading, we can say that Alex's height is 120 cm.

It is given that the father’s height is 1.5 times that of Alex’s height.

Therefore, the father’s height is
120 x 1.5 = 180 cm.

Now, convert the centimetre scale into the metre scale by dividing with the 100.

Hence, 180 cm = 180/ 100 = 1.80 m.
