Given: C.P. of 3 articles =₹ 150
⇒ C.P. of 1 article =₹ 1503
=₹ 50
Given: S.P. of 4 articles =₹ 180
⇒ S.P. of 1 article =₹ 1804
=₹ 45
Step 2: Find loss/gain as percent
Since C.P. > S.P.
∴ Loss (in ₹) = C.P. − S.P.
=₹ 50−₹ 45
=₹ 5
Loss percentage =LossC.P.×100
=550×100
=10
Hence, the loss as a percent is 10%.
