A certain number of men can do a work in 60 days. If there were 8 more men, it could be completed in 10 days less. How many men were there in the beginning?

Le the number of men at the beginning be x who completed the work in 60 days.
If 8 more men to joined to complete the same work
New number of men=x+8
No of days=6010=50days
60×x=50(x+8) Formula :If M1 men can complete a work in D1 days and M2 men can complete a work in D2 then =M1D1=M2D2
6x=5(x+8)
6x=5x+40
6x5x=40
x=40
