A certain number of men can do a work in $60$ days. If there were $8$ more men, it could be completed in $10$ days less. How many men were there in the beginning?

Le the number of men at the beginning be $x$ who completed the work in $60$ days.

If $8$ more men to joined to complete the same work

$\therefore$New number of men$=x+8$

No of days$=60-10=50$days

$\therefore 60\times x=50(x+8)$ Formula :If $M_1$ men can complete a work in $D_1$ days and $M_2$ men can complete a work in $D_2$ then $=M_1{D}_1=M_2{D}_2$

$⟹6x=5(x+8)$

$⟹6x=5x+40$

$⟹6x-5x=40$

$⟹x=40$
