A chef needs to pack a circular pizza in a square-shaped box having side 6 cm. What should be the area of the pizza?​

The pizza is circular in shape and is completely fitted inside this square-shaped box.
Hence, the diameter of the circle is equal to the side of the pizza box.
Step 1: Find the radius of the circle
We know that the diameter of a circle inscribed in a circle = one side of the square.
ie; diameter, d = 6 cm
Hence radius , r = d/2 = 3cm

Step 2: Find the area of the circle
Area of the circle=πr2=π×32=9 π cm2=9 × 3.142=28.26 cm2
Hence, area of the pizza = 9π cm2 or 28.26 cm2
