Blood type is an example of a common multiple allele traits. There are 3 different alleles for blood type, (A, B, & O). A is dominant to O. B is also dominant to O. A and B are both codominants.
If mother blood group is A then she might have (IA IA) or (IA i) and father would be having (IA IB), their cross would produce any one of the following:
IA i x IA IB = IA IA (A Blood group), IB i (B Blood group) or IA IB (AB Blood Group), therefore O blood group would not be possible. Thus, the correct answer is option D.
