Note: In the flame test, barium, potassium, calcium
and sodium gives apple green, violet, brick red and golden yellow colours respectively.
Solution: Ra
Colour in flame test is given by alkali and alkaline earth metals. Be and Mg do not give flame test. Lead salts are usually sparingly soluble in water.
