The given triangular prism contains two triangular faces and 3 rectangular faces.


Area of triangle = 12 × base × height

Base of the triangle = 3 in

Height of the triangle = 2 in

Area of triangle = 12 × 3 × 2 = 3 sq in



Area of rectangle = length × width

Length of the rectangle = 6 in

Width of the rectangle = 3 in

= 6 × 3 = 18 sq in



Total surface area = 3 × area of rectangular faces + 2 × area of triangular faces

= 3 × 18 + 2× 3 = 54 + 6 = 60

Hence, total surface area of the chocolate foil wrapper = 60 sq in.
