A circular disc of radius 6 cm is divided into three sectors with central angles 90∘, 120∘ and 150∘. What part of the whole circle is the sector with central angle 150∘? Also, calculate the ratio of the areas of the three sectors.
Radius of disc (r) = 6 cm
When θ = 90°
Area of a sector I = θ360∘× π × r2
= 90∘360∘× π × r2
= 14× π × r2
When θ = 120°
Area of a sector II =120∘360∘× π × r2
=13× π × r2
When θ = 150°
Area of a sector III = 150∘360∘× π × r2=512× π × r2
Required ratio = Area of sector I : area of sector II : area of sector III
=14× π × r2:13× π × r2:512× π × r2
=14:13:512
= 3:4:5
Hence, required ratio = 3 : 4 : 5
