The correct option is D $20$ and $24$
Let no. of boys in the class be $x, ∴$ no. of girls $= x + 4$
When no. of boys present in a class = $x - 8$ then no. of girls $= 2 \times$ no. of boys $= 2 (x - 8)$
No. of girls $= x + 4 = 2 (x - 8) \Rightarrow 2 x - x = 16 + 4 \Rightarrow x = 20$
No. of boys $= x = 20$
No. of girls $= x + 4 = 20 + 4 = 24$
