A classroom is 10 m long, 6.4 m wide and 5 m high. If each student is given 1.6 m2 of the floor area, how many students can be accommodated in the room? How many cubic meters of air each student will get?

The dimensions of hall are
Length =10m
Breadth 6.4m
Height =5m

It is given that floor area for each student =1.6m2

So the number of students=area of roomfloor area for each student

By substituting the values

Number of students =(10×6.4)1.6

So we get

Number of students =40

So the air required by each student =Volume of roomnumber of students

We know that

Volume of room =1×b×h

By substituting the values

Volume of room =10×6.4×5=320 m3

So we get

Air required by each student =32040=8m3

Therefore, the number of students that can be accommodated in the room is 40 and the required by each student is 8 m3.
